10x10 Oil on Canvas. This was the second plein air piece in my Bear Creek series, as part of the Bear Creek Plein Air Painting Event organized by Lisa Faherty with Plein Air Artists of Colorado.
It was such a deliciously overcast rainy day but I had a blast painting it out there—even stopped and chatted with another hiker who was also an artist and we traded palette tips. That experience made up for originally not being able to get to the spot thanks to the local black bears who convinced me to try again another day…
